Air Jordan 4 “Black Cat” Returns in 2025 With New Design Updates and Full Family Sizing

One of the most sought-after Air Jordan colourways is gearing up for a major comeback. The Air Jordan 4 “Black Cat” is set for release on November 28, 2025, and while it maintains the stealthy all-black identity that made the shoe a cult favourite, the upcoming edition introduces several changes that set it apart from the 2006 and 2020 versions.

The “Black Cat” theme draws from one of Michael Jordan’s well-known nicknames, and the colourway first debuted in 2006 – not as an original 1989 release, but as a retro interpretation. Its pitch-black upper, subtle grey accents and minimalist styling have helped cement it as one of the most popular non-OG Air Jordan 4s. The 2020 reissue only deepened that legacy, quickly selling out and becoming a high-value commodity on resale platforms.

The 2025 edition adds new details, most notably a Nike Air logo on the tongue for the first time, matching the white Jumpman branding on the outsole. Jordan Brand is also expanding availability by offering the sneaker in full family sizing, another first for the “Black Cat” line.

The global release will include Nike SNKRS, major US retailers such as Foot Locker, DICK’S Sporting Goods, Finish Line and Champs, and boutiques including Sneaker Politics, CNCPTS and Extra Butter. Shock drops, Exclusive Access events and future restocks are also considered likely.

Retail pricing is set at:

  • Adult: $220
  • Grade School: $165
  • Pre-School: $105
  • Toddler: $90

With fresh branding elements and broader accessibility, the 2025 “Black Cat” release is expected to be one of the year’s biggest sneaker launches – giving both longtime fans and new collectors reason to line up once again.
