Cubana Chief Priest Speaks On Rift With Burna Boy, Links Fallout To Davido Friendship
Nigerian businessman and celebrity socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has spoken publicly about his fallout with Afrobeats star Burna Boy, claiming the singer targeted him because of his close relationship with fellow music star Davido.
Speaking during an interview on The Beat 99.9 FM on Wednesday, Cubana Chief Priest reflected on his rise to fame and wealth, stating that success often attracts criticism and resentment from others.
According to him, his journey began through apprenticeship and years of dedication before he became successful in the entertainment and hospitality industry.
“Success comes with a lot of hate,” he said. “I started from apprenticeship and service, and I learnt a lot about growth, perseverance and hard work.”
The nightlife entrepreneur alleged that Burna Boy publicly attacked him on social media despite there being no existing issues between them.
“I was on my own and Burna Boy came for me. He used his platform to say things that were not true and tried to discredit my wealth,” he stated.
Cubana Chief Priest claimed the singer’s actions were connected to his friendship and loyalty to Davido.
According to him, Davido has consistently supported his businesses and personal projects over the years.
“Davido has always been there for me. He attended the opening of my clubs and restaurants and always supports what I do,” he said.
He also revealed that Davido is currently investing in nightclub businesses in Lagos, while he has ventured into music to further expand his brand.
The feud between Burna Boy and Cubana Chief Priest has generated significant reactions on social media in recent months, with fans of both celebrities frequently exchanging words online.
