Ayra Starr Opens Up About Relationship Dilemma Behind New Song

Nigerian singer and songwriter Ayra Starr has spoken about the personal inspiration behind one of her songs, revealing that it was influenced by a private relationship she has been navigating.

The music star shared the details during a recent appearance on The Intern, a programme produced by Roc Nation.

During the conversation, Ayra Starr explained that her track Where Do We Go was inspired by the uncertainty she feels about whether to keep a relationship out of the public eye or share it with the world.

According to the singer, the song reflects the emotional tension of deciding what direction the relationship should take.

“‘Where Do We Go’ is inspired by a private relationship. Are we going to stay hidden or come out to the world? I’m kind of in the middle, so like, where do we go,” she said.

The singer also spoke about one of her biggest inspirations in music, revealing that she would choose global pop star Rihanna if she had the opportunity to intern for any celebrity.

“If I had to intern for anyone, it would be Rihanna. I would get the coffee – anything she wants me to do, I would do it,” she added.

Ayra Starr has previously described Rihanna as her childhood idol and a major influence on her decision to pursue a career in music.

The Nigerian artist, who rose to fame with her distinctive sound and energetic performances, continues to draw inspiration from international stars while building her own presence on the global music stage.
