2Baba Says He Has Put an End to Impregnating Women
Veteran Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba, has made a candid public statement about his personal life, saying he has stopped fathering children indiscriminately.
The singer made the remark in Benin City while addressing the audience ahead of his performance at the MC EdoPikin Undiluted with StarBoy and Legends show. Speaking in a mix of English and pidgin, 2Baba said he felt the need to “set the record straight” wherever he goes.
According to him, he has changed his ways and no longer engages in the behavior that previously led to multiple pregnancies.
“I get confession. I dey make this confession everywhere I go now to set the record straight. I don stop to dey do that kind of thing, I don stop to dey give belle anyhow,” the singer told the crowd, adding that people who know him can attest to his claim.
2Baba’s personal life has long attracted public attention. He has children with several women over the years. His first known relationship was with Sumbo Adeoye, with whom he has two sons, Zion and Nino. The relationship reportedly ended around 2009.
He also has three children with Pero Adeniyi, born between 2006 and 2012. With his former wife, actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia, 2Baba shares two daughters. The couple’s marriage ended in divorce in 2025.
More recently, the singer welcomed another child with his current partner, Natasha Osawaru, a relationship that has also generated public debate.
The musician’s latest remarks appear to signal a personal shift, as he publicly distances himself from the controversies that have followed his private life for years.
