50 Cent Boasts Huge Success With Roku Channel
Rapper and entrepreneur 50 Cent is celebrating a major win in the streaming space as his FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) channel, 50 Cent Action, has rapidly climbed to the top of the charts on both Roku and LG platforms.
Launched in partnership with Lionsgate, the channel delivers a steady stream of high-octane action films and TV series, including some of 50 Cent’s own hits like Den of Thieves, Escape Plan, The Expendables 4, and the fan-favorite crime drama Power, which he both starred in and executive produced.
Now expanding beyond Roku and LG, 50 Cent Action is available to a wider audience through Vizio’s WatchFree+ and Sling TV’s Sling Freestream, adding momentum to what the rapper-turned-media mogul calls “the future of entertainment.”
“This is about making real connections,” 50 Cent said in a statement. “I’m hands-on with everything and working closely with Lionsgate to give fans direct, free access to the best action content out there. Every time you turn on the channel, you step into my world.”
The launch builds on 50 Cent’s long-running collaboration with Lionsgate. Jim Packer, the studio’s president of worldwide television distribution, praised the move into FAST streaming, calling the rapper’s brand “synonymous with non-stop action.”
Beyond reruns and blockbusters, 50 Cent has promised new content for the platform and emphasized a commitment to quality in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “There’s going to be new content in there, but I’ve got access to a huge library of action films. It’s got to be premium,” he said. “I don’t want to see me like I see my people on Tubi.”
Promoting the channel on Instagram, the G-Unit boss hyped the experience as “non-stop action, exclusive content, and your favorite movies and shows – all for FREE.”
With 50 Cent Action now dominating the FAST scene and expanding its reach, the hip-hop icon continues to grow his influence well beyond music, solidifying his place as a powerful force in entertainment.
