2Face’s Brother Raises Alarm Over Singer’s Relationship, Warns of Damage to His Legacy
Charles Idibia, popularly known as Charlybrave and brother to Nigerian music icon 2Face Idibia, has expressed deep concern over the singer’s current relationship with politician Natasha Osawuru, warning that it could permanently harm the legacy the artist has built over the years.
In a heartfelt open letter shared on Instagram, Charles praised his brother’s quiet strength and selflessness, describing 2Face as a man who often absorbs blame to protect others. He called him a “modern-day Jesus” whose kindness has repeatedly been taken for granted.
But Charles did not hold back in criticising Osawuru, alleging that she has manipulated and isolated the singer from his family, business associates, and long-time management team. He accused her of controlling his digital communications, interfering in business matters, and creating chaos in both his public and private life.
“It can never be a crime to save yourself,” Charles wrote. “You’ve been captured – not just from the frying pan, but into a furnace.”
The post also detailed allegations of Osawuru accessing and altering 2Face’s phone messages, impersonating him online, and inserting herself into his public identity as his wife – despite the absence of any legal marriage.
Charles urged his brother to take a break from social media, reassess his current path, and prioritise healing and family – especially his seven children. “Wake up,” he pleaded. “This is no longer love, it’s control.”
His message has sparked a wave of reactions from fans, many echoing his concerns and calling for the singer to seek help.
One Instagram user wrote, “To think this lady has reduced our legend to nothing is heartbreaking,” while another said, “God please just protect our 2Baba from all of this madness.”
This is not the first time concerns have been raised about the relationship. Earlier in the year, 2Face’s mother, Rose Idibia, alleged that Osawuru had used spiritual means to exert control over her son, claiming she placed beads on his head and neck.
As fans and family rally around the celebrated singer, many are hoping he finds clarity and peace amidst growing concern about the direction of his personal life.
