Diddy’s Hollywood Walk of Fame Star to Remain Amid Legal Troubles

Despite mounting legal issues, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is reportedly staying put. According to TMZ, a spokesperson for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce stated on Saturday, May 25, that the committee lacks the authority to remove the Bad Boy founder’s star.

The Chamber, responsible for nominating star recipients, manufacturing and installing stars upon city approval, and conducting the Walk of Fame installation ceremonies, does not have the power to take down stars once they are installed.

Diddy, facing increasing legal challenges, appears to remain defiant. Earlier this week, he reportedly confided in a close friend that there is a larger “agenda” behind the release of a viral assault video involving his then-girlfriend, Cassie, from 2016. A source close to Diddy told The New York Post that he was furious about the video’s release, claiming it only tells half the story. “He’s incensed,” the source said. “Especially about the video. He insists it doesn’t tell the full story about what happened. Not that he’s excusing it, but he says that it’s a selected video.”

Diddy suggested that the video’s release was part of an agenda but acknowledged that his primary concern is the ongoing raids on his house, seeing the Cassie video as a distraction. His pinned tweet from December 2023 insists that his accusers are “individuals looking for a quick payday,” denying any wrongdoing.

This week, Diddy was also accused in a new rape lawsuit of forcing a woman to have sex with his late ex-girlfriend Kim Porter. The alleged victim, April Lampros, filed the suit in New York on Thursday, May 23. She claimed the Bad Boy mogul sexually assaulted her on four occasions, including one instance with Porter after being forced to take ecstasy.

Lampros, who met Diddy in 1994 while she was a fashion student, alleged that he recorded their sexual encounters without her consent and later showed the videos to others. She is suing Diddy for battery, sexual assault, infliction of emotional distress, and gender-motivated violence.

According to the lawsuit, the first assault occurred in 1995 when Lampros was pressured to drink alcohol and later passed out in a hotel room where Diddy allegedly raped her. Another incident was claimed to have taken place in a parking garage, where Diddy allegedly forced her to perform oral sex on him. Lampros stated that after attempting to distance herself, Diddy threatened her with physical harm and blacklisting from the fashion industry.

A third alleged assault occurred in 1996, involving Kim Porter. Lampros claimed she was forced to have sex with Porter, who had three children with Diddy before her death in 2018 due to pneumonia.

As these allegations unfold, Diddy’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star remains a symbol of his enduring influence in the entertainment industry, despite the controversies surrounding him.
