Burna Boy Says He’s Ready to Start a Family, Says: “I’m Getting Old”
Nigerian music superstar Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has revealed that he’s now seriously considering fatherhood, admitting that age and a recent conversation with a friend have prompted him to reflect on starting a family.
Speaking recently in Lagos, the Grammy-winning artist said a chat with oil magnate Jowizaza made him pause and think about his life direction. “Jowizaza was talking to me the other day, and it got me thinking. Man, I’m getting old – I should probably start having kids,” he said in a mix of English and Pidgin.
This marks a shift in the singer’s stance. In May last year, Burna Boy had publicly stated that he wasn’t ready to have children, explaining that he didn’t feel capable of giving them the full attention and care they would deserve. At the time, he said he would only consider having kids when he felt truly settled, possibly within marriage.
Now, it seems the self-proclaimed African Giant is warming up to the idea of fatherhood, sparking curiosity among fans about what might be next for the global star.
