Nike Air Max 1 Gets Golf-Ready in New ‘Obsidian’ Edition
Nike is once again blending streetwear heritage with sports functionality as it adapts one of its most iconic sneakers, the Air Max 1, for the golf course.
The brand has been steadily expanding its golf catalog, giving classic designs a performance-driven makeover. Among these, the Air Max 1 has become a favorite silhouette, reappearing in collaborations with Eastside Golf as well as in standalone releases that stay true to the shoe’s original design language.
The latest iteration, dubbed the Nike Air Max 1 Golf “Obsidian”, mirrors the style of the popular “Sport Blue” layout but swaps in deep navy accents over a neutral wolf grey base. While the aesthetic remains close to the streetwear classic, the outsole reveals its sporting purpose — extended lugs built for traction across multiple rounds on the green.
The new model will retail for $155 and is expected to hit shelves as part of Nike’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection.
