Seun Kuti Slams Wizkid Over Alleged Insult Directed At His Wife
Singer and activist Seun Kuti has fired back at fellow artiste Wizkid following comments he says were directed at his wife, Yetunde Kuti, amid their ongoing online feud.
The exchange stems from a social media dispute between the two musicians, which escalated after Wizkid allegedly described Seun Kuti’s wife in unflattering terms. The remark sparked outrage from Kuti, who responded during a live broadcast on social media.
In the video, Kuti criticised Wizkid for bringing family members into their disagreement, insisting that such actions crossed a line. He also took aim at Wizkid’s partner, Jada Pollock, while questioning his colleague’s right to insult his wife.
“Real men don’t drag women or children into their issues,” Kuti said. “You are insulting my wife, yet you have a partner who is older than you. Should I also start insulting your own family?”
Kuti further accused Wizkid’s fans of attacking his wife and child online, revealing that they had flooded his child’s social media page with negative comments. Despite this, he maintained that the harassment would not break him, adding that he wanted his daughter to grow strong through the experience.
“I want my child to face challenges like I did so she can grow tough,” he said.
The Afrobeat star went on to claim that Wizkid may be struggling emotionally, urging him to rediscover his identity and purpose.
“I know you’re dealing with a lot,” Kuti added. “You need to find yourself again. Are you Wizkid, Big Wiz, or something else? You seem confused about who you really are.”
The public spat between the two musicians has continued to draw reactions from fans across social media, with many calling for restraint and maturity from both parties.
