Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Chinese New Year” Set For February 17 Release
Jordan Brand has confirmed a February 17 launch date for the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Chinese New Year,” one of Nike’s standout celebratory releases tied to the 2026 Year of the Horse.

Nike’s Lunar New Year collections have traditionally focused on ceremonial-inspired designs, but this year’s rollout has expanded significantly across its portfolio. Beyond general releases, the brand has leaned heavily into themed collaborations and multiple special-edition drops, positioning the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Chinese New Year” between mass availability and limited collector appeal.

The sneaker draws directly from the Year of the Horse concept, featuring pony hair accents on the heel and Swoosh. These textured elements are paired with intricate floral embroidery across the toe box, a bold contrast against the shoe’s predominantly off-white upper. The design blends traditional craftsmanship with contemporary Jordan Brand aesthetics.

One of the more distinctive details appears on the tongue, where the tag is styled like a rolled scroll and fastened with red thread, a nod to classic Lunar New Year symbolism. Packaging also receives special treatment, with a gold-on-gold reinterpretation of the standard Air Jordan 1 box.
The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Chinese New Year” will be released through Nike SNKRS and select retailers. The sneaker is priced at $165 and will be available in limited quantities.
