Davido Reacts To Claims Of Unpaid $50,000 Wedding Bill
Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has dismissed reports alleging that he owes a wedding planner $50,000, describing the claims as unbelievable.
The controversy emerged after Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, chief executive officer of the event planning company reportedly responsible for organising Davido’s wedding to Chioma, was said to have accused the singer of failing to settle an outstanding bill.
The allegation gained traction on social media after screenshots of an alleged conversation surfaced online, in which the planner was said to be considering legal action over the unpaid fee.
Davido has since responded publicly, expressing frustration at the claims. In a brief post on X (formerly Twitter), the singer appeared to reject the accusation, calling the situation “crazy.”
“This is just crazy at this point,” he wrote.
The development has sparked widespread discussion online, with fans and social media users debating the validity of the allegations and Davido’s response.
