Infinix, Call of Duty: Mobile Unveil Global Gaming Partnership Targeting Emerging Markets
In a move set to reshape mobile gaming experiences across emerging markets, Infinix Mobility has announced a major global partnership with Call of Duty: Mobile, one of the world’s most widely played action titles.
The collaboration centres on the newly introduced Infinix NOTE Edge and NOTE 60 Series smartphones, positioning the devices as gaming-focused tools designed to deliver high-performance experiences for users across Africa, India, Latin America, and Brazil.
According to the companies, the alliance will focus on enhancing gameplay performance, building gaming communities, and expanding access to premium mobile gaming in high-growth regions. Key elements of the partnership include device optimisation for smoother gameplay, a global design competition, and a slate of region-specific gaming activations.
Chief Marketing Officer of Infinix, TT Liu, described the initiative as a shift toward more interactive user experiences, noting that the NOTE 60 Series is being positioned as a platform for creativity, competition, and global connection among gamers.
Echoing this sentiment, Jeffrey Gullett, Senior Director of Production for Call of Duty: Mobile, said the partnership reflects a broader push to optimise gameplay across newer devices while fostering stronger gaming communities worldwide.
Performance And Product Integration
As part of the collaboration, both companies confirmed that the NOTE Edge and NOTE 60 Series have been specifically optimised for Call of Duty: Mobile gameplay. The devices are designed to support stable high-frame-rate performance, improved audio clarity through enhanced sound technology, and customised in-game visuals, including themed wallpapers and interface elements inspired by the franchise.
Global Design Competition
The partnership also introduces a worldwide co-creation initiative tagged “Design and Dominate.” The competition invites players to create custom designs for the AK117 in-game weapon.
Submissions opened on March 20 and will close on April 13, after which shortlisted entries will proceed to a global voting stage. The winning design, scheduled to be announced on May 13, will be developed into an official in-game weapon skin, alongside additional rewards for participants.
Regional Activations Across Key Markets
Beyond product integration, the partnership will roll out localised gaming events tailored to different regions.
In Latin America, a tournament tagged “Barrios Latinos” will combine competitive gameplay with music and urban culture, culminating in a live финals event in Mexico City.
India will host the “District Showdown,” a city-based competition designed to spark regional pride among gamers, while also showcasing the NOTE 60 Pro’s gaming capabilities.
In Africa, the focus shifts to talent development through the “Creators College,” scheduled to take place in Lagos between March 25 and 28. The initiative will bring together established gaming creators to mentor upcoming talent in content creation and community building.
Strategic Focus On Emerging Markets
The partnership underscores a broader industry trend of targeting emerging markets, where mobile gaming continues to grow rapidly due to increasing smartphone penetration and a young, tech-savvy population.
Founded in 2013, Infinix has expanded its footprint across more than 70 countries, with a strong presence in Africa and Asia. The company says this collaboration reinforces its ambition to combine hardware innovation with entertainment ecosystems, positioning its devices at the centre of digital lifestyles in these regions.
With both brands leveraging their strengths—Infinix in hardware and Call of Duty: Mobile in gaming—the partnership is expected to intensify competition in the mobile gaming space while unlocking new opportunities for users, creators, and developers alike.
