Access Bank Commends Ogun’s Business Climate, Backs Gateway Airport Project

The Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank Plc, Roosevelt Ogbonna, has praised the Ogun State government for creating an enabling environment that continues to attract investors.

Ogbonna made the remarks during a visit to Governor Dapo Abiodun, where he led a delegation of senior executives from the bank. He noted that the state’s policies go beyond attracting capital, helping to build long-term partnerships focused on sustainable development.

He also highlighted the ongoing development of the Gateway International Airport, describing it as a bold and strategic initiative that reflects strong leadership.

Ogbonna said the project demonstrates how vision can be translated into tangible infrastructure, adding that Access Bank remains committed to supporting initiatives that drive economic growth. He expressed satisfaction with the bank’s involvement in financing the airport.

In response, Governor Abiodun described Access Bank as a dependable partner, commending its early support for the project. He emphasised the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors, noting that funding plays a critical role in turning ideas into reality.

The partnership, he said, underscores how strategic alliances can accelerate infrastructure development and strengthen economic progress in the state.
