Amazon CEO of Worldwide Consumer, Dave Clark Resigns

Amazon’s Worldwide Consumer CEO, Dave Clark has resigned from his role at the company after 23 years at the e-commerce giant.

His resignation, which took effect on July 1 was announced by Amazon in a regulatory filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission Friday. Clark also too to his Twitter account where he wrote:

“I’ve had an incredible time at Amazon but it’s time for me to build again. It’s what drives me.”

During his time at Amazon, Clark played a prominent role in helping to build and oversee the company’s sprawling logistics network of warehouses, delivery trucks, planes and cargo ships, which helped it expedite shipping times and dominate the online retail market.
