Anne Heche Drank Vodka and Wine in Podcast Posted Before Crash

Hours before her high-speed crash, American actress Anne Heche admitted to drinking heavily during the show, and joked that fans would have to keep their “fingers crossed” for her and co-host Heather Duffy to make it through the recording.

As reported by Marca, she could be heard slurring her words through a podcast posted prior to the accident.

The actress wore shades during the episode of “Better Together” and said she was drinking vodka and wine after being “rocked” by what was a bad day.

The clip has since been deleted, with Heche’s representative stating the recording took place on Monday, days before she suffered burns after her car burst into flames in Los Angeles on Friday.

The actress also added that she’s been suffering through some “very bad days”, but didn’t reveal what it is that’s troubling her.

“I don’t know what happened – sometimes days just suck,” she said. “I’m rocked – I am rocked.

Before that, Heche and Duffy talked about what they were drinking while recording.

“We are sitting with Re: Find,” Heche said of the vodka, which is the same type that appeared to be in Heche’s Mini Cooper in a photo taken prior to the crash.

“We each have a bottle in front of us because our friends sent us a bottle Re:Find.”

After her co-host added that a doctor told them they should be drinking vodka instead of wine, Heche stated: “And we listened! And we are drinking it – with wine chasers.”
