Burna Boy Equals Davido’s Record on US Apple Music Chart

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has accomplished an impressive feat by matching the record previously held by fellow Nigerian artist Davido. Burna Boy’s latest album, ‘I Told Them,’ has reached the Number 2 spot on the Apple Music United States chart, equaling Davido’s record for the highest-peaking African album on the same chart.

Davido initially achieved this milestone with his fourth studio album, ‘Timeless,’ which secured the Number 2 position earlier in the year. Burna Boy’s recent success with ‘I Told Them’ now places him side by side with Davido in this achievement, signifying the growing influence and impact of Nigerian artists on the international music scene.

Burna Boy’s album not only matched the record set by Davido on the US Apple Music chart but also made history on the European Apple Music Album chart. ‘I Told Them’ debuted at Number 2, marking the highest-peaking African project in the history of the European chart.

This achievement is particularly significant as Burna Boy’s previous album, ‘Love, Damini,’ reached the Number 3 position on the US Apple Music chart in 2022. By surpassing his own record and reaching the Number 2 spot with ‘I Told Them,’ Burna Boy has once again demonstrated his ability to captivate international audiences and solidify his place as one of Africa’s leading music talents.
