Nigerian superstar Burna Boy has once again secured the number one position on NotJustOk’s Afrobeats Power Ranking, becoming the only artist to lead the chart twice this year.
Known as the African Giant, Burna Boy’s unique blend of Afro-fusion, socially conscious lyrics, and dynamic stage presence has solidified his dominance in the genre. In May 2025, he overtook Davido, who had briefly held the top spot since the ranking’s launch in January.
A key factor in Burna Boy’s resurgence is the release of his single Tatata, a collaboration with American rapper Travis Scott, which dropped on May 21, 2025. The track, featured on his upcoming album No Sign of Weakness, has already garnered over 15 million streams on Spotify. Produced by Chillz Chilleaux and Onome Ojoboh, Tatata combines catchy rhythms and vibrant dance elements, earning widespread acclaim.
Burna Boy first reached number one on the chart in March 2025, with Davido and Rema trailing closely behind. His return to the summit underscores his continued influence and strong performance across global platforms this year.
