Carter Efe Loses Instagram and TikTok Accounts After Calling Out Wizkid
Nigerian comedian and content creator, Carter Efe, has reportedly lost access to his Instagram and TikTok accounts, just days after publicly criticising Afrobeats superstar Wizkid during a live stream.
The incident stems from a TikTok live session earlier this week, where Carter Efe referred to Wizkid as “an idiot” and accused the singer of being arrogant. “If Wizkid calls me ‘my G,’ that means lion don get belle. E no fit happen. That boy too get pride, idiot,” he said during the broadcast.
Following his remarks, several fans of the Grammy-winning artist—collectively known as Wizkid FC—launched an online campaign urging others to report Carter Efe’s social media accounts. Shortly after, the skit maker confirmed that his Instagram page, which had amassed over 1.8 million followers, had been taken down.
In a follow-up video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Carter Efe, appearing visibly distraught, revealed that his TikTok account had also been removed.
“This is getting too much. TikTok account gone. FC una betrayed me. Abeg make una forgive me, Wizkid FC,” he pleaded. “Wizkid, abeg no vexxx, help me beg FC. I’m in severe pain.”
The incident has since sparked conversations online about fan culture, accountability on social media, and the consequences of public statements made by influencers. Carter Efe has yet to confirm whether his accounts will be reinstated.
