Dammy Krane Accuses Davido of Orchestrating His Arrest
Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has publicly accused fellow artist Davido of being behind his recent arrest for defamation. In a series of posts shared on his X handle, Dammy Krane claimed that he was unlawfully detained by the police on Davido’s orders.
The singer also alleged that there were plans to falsely implicate him in cryptocurrency scams. Expressing his concerns, Dammy Krane urged the public to hold Davido accountable if anything untoward happens to him.
“If anything happens to me, @davido should be held responsible. Oppressor @davido has paid them to arrest me. They wrote a petition, lying that I am into Flutterwave & Crypto scams just to arrest me. This is how they keep using the bad cops to spoil the name of the police,” he posted.
The conflict between the two artists dates back to 2023 when Dammy Krane accused Davido of owing him money. Davido responded by calling Dammy Krane ungrateful. Since then, Dammy Krane has continued to publicly criticize Davido, even going as far as accusing him of involvement in the 2017 death of their mutual friend, Tagbo Umeike, who allegedly died from alcohol poisoning after a birthday celebration.
In an effort to mediate the ongoing feud, veteran Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde, also known as KWAM 1 De Ultimate, recently called on both Dammy Krane and Davido to make peace during a live performance.
