Davido:

Davido Says He Would Have Built a Career in Entertainment Even Without Music

Nigerian music star Davido says he believes he would still have found success in the entertainment industry even if he had never become a recording artiste.

Speaking during an interview with PlayKisstra, the Grammy-nominated singer said his passion for entertainment extends beyond performing, adding that he would likely have pursued opportunities in media or music business management.

According to Davido, he could have established a record label or owned a media company because of his longstanding interest in the entertainment industry.

He explained that even if he had joined his family’s business, he would still have maintained a side venture connected to music, describing the industry as something he has always been passionate about.

The singer also pointed to his academic background, revealing that he holds a degree in Business Management and believes he could have pursued a corporate career if music had not become his profession.

Davido said his educational qualifications would have enabled him to seek employment in the corporate sector if necessary, noting that he has the credentials and experience to build a career outside entertainment.

The award-winning artiste rose to prominence in 2012 with the release of “Dami Duro,” a breakout single from his debut album, Omo Baba Olowo. Since then, he has become one of Africa’s biggest music exports, earning multiple international awards and Grammy nominations while expanding his influence beyond music into business and entertainment.
