D’banj Opens Up on Why He Picked a Night Shift While Working as a Security Guard in London

Nigerian music star and reality show judge, Dapo Oyebanjo popularly known as D’banj has opened up on his humble beginnings before fame.

Bangalee, as he is fondly called, said it wasn’t all bed of roses while he lived in the United Kingdom.

He revealed that he had to take up a security job where he worked twelve hours overnight to make a living.

The Koko Master, during a chat with former label mate Ikechukwu also known as Killz, noted that he knew he would become a star so he decided to take the night shift.

“I know say I be star, na night shift I dey so in the morning, I still dey fresh but of course, I realise say you gat to work,” said D’banj.

“At that time, the oyinbos no need to dey check you for CCTV, they know how to monitor you. All they need you to do is click in every ten to fifteen minutes.”

D’Banj became a big Afro-Pop star after he returned to Nigeria with his friend and erstwhile business partner, Don Jazzy.

They formed MoHits records and signed five music acts before the end of the record label after their split as business partners.
