DC Releases First Official Trailer for ‘Clayface’ Ahead of October Premiere
DC Studios and Warner Bros. have unveiled the first official trailer for Clayface, offering audiences a closer look at the upcoming film centred on one of Gotham City’s most recognisable villains.
The film follows Matt Hagen, a former street kid from Gotham whose rise to fame as a Hollywood actor comes to a devastating halt after he is left severely disfigured following an encounter with a local crime boss.
According to the official synopsis, Hagen turns to an experimental treatment that restores his appearance but also triggers unexpected psychological effects, sending him on a destructive journey driven by revenge as he gradually loses his grip on reality.
Clayface is directed by James Watkins and stars Tom Rhys Harries in the lead role, alongside Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella, Eddie Marsan, Nancy Carroll and Joshua James.
The production team includes cinematographer Rob Hardy, production designer James Price, editor Jon Harris and costume designer Keith Madden, while Academy Award-winning composer Volker Bertelmann is responsible for the film’s score.
The movie is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on October 23.
