Diddy Faces New Lawsuit Alleging Rape and Drugging of College Student from 1991

In a new legal development, Sean “Diddy” Combs, the renowned Bad Boy Entertainment mogul, is facing another sexual assault lawsuit. The plaintiff, an unnamed woman, filed the suit in the Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday, November 23, accusing Diddy of assaulting her in 1991 when she was a student at Syracuse University.

The lawsuit details that the alleged assault occurred after the woman and Diddy dined at Wells Restaurant in Harlem. The two had common friends and acquaintances, with the woman appearing in a few segments of a music video featuring Combs. According to the complaint, the woman claims that Diddy, who worked at Uptown Records at the time, drugged her, recorded the assault, and distributed the explicit content without her consent, terming it as “revenge porn.”

The legal filing asserts that Combs regularly videotaped such incidents, and days later, a male friend informed the woman that he had seen the “sex tape” along with others.

Diddy’s spokesperson has strongly denied the allegations, describing the lawsuit as a “last-minute money grab.” The spokesperson stated, “This last-minute lawsuit is an example of how a well-intentioned law can be turned on its head. Ms. Dickerson’s 32-year-old story is made up and not credible. Mr. Combs never assaulted her, and she implicates companies that did not exist. This is purely a money grab and nothing more.”

This lawsuit comes just before the expiration of the New York Adult Survivors Act on Friday, November 24. The Act has been the basis for several recent lawsuits, including one involving Diddy and his ex-girlfriend Cassie. The two parties reportedly settled Cassie’s sexual assault case amicably, less than 24 hours after it was brought to court under the Adult Survivors Act. The resolution was characterized as amicable, with both parties expressing wishes for each other’s well-being. Diddy’s lawyer emphasized that settling was not an admission of guilt but a mutually agreed resolution.
