Epic New Vanity Fair Cover Highlights the Many Coming Star Wars Shows

For those familiar with how the Star Wars promotion machine works, it used to be a staple that Anthony Breznican would run a significant feature article at some point in the marketing campaign, and that Annie Leibovitz would have some thrilling new photos in promotion of it. And with Obi-Wan Kenobi set to premiere next week, kicking off a plethora of Star Wars shows to come, Breznican and Leibovitz are back with a feature for Vanity Fair about these upcoming projects.

And the cover for the issue is, well, amazing. It features Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin, Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Diego Luna as Cassian Andor, all promoting the four shows that will be coming in the next year for Star Wars on Disney+. It’s great.

Additionally, a behind the scenes video of the photo shoot was released, and it’s so heartwarming to see these four stars all together and enjoying it. They really are the face of this new era of Star Wars, and this is really cool.

The feature story, which you can read here, is full of details about these shows and others that are in the works as it discusses the direction and future of Star Wars storytelling in these mediums, filled with quotes from Lucasfilm President Kathy Kennedy. I’ll dive into several of these in the coming days, but I’d encourage you to check it out. Read the article, enjoy the pictures, and get ready for what is going to be one heck of a stretch for Star Wars.
