Flutterwave’s Send App Unveils 2025 Remittance Postcards

Send App by Flutterwave has launched a new campaign designed to highlight the personal stories behind cross-border money transfers, introducing a year-in-review feature called Send App Postcards.

The initiative turns users’ 2025 remittance activity into personalised digital summaries that can be viewed and shared within the app. Rather than focusing on transaction volumes, the campaign aims to spotlight the emotional and social significance of money sent to family and friends across borders.

According to the company, the postcards reflect how remittances are often used to support everyday needs such as school fees, medical bills and family celebrations, as well as informal gestures of care. The feature presents these activities as visual “stories” that capture the impact of each user’s transfers over the year.

Harvey Bahia, head of the Send App business at Flutterwave, said the campaign was created to recognise the often unseen commitment behind sending money home. He said the postcards allow users to see the broader effect of their remittances and the connections they maintained throughout the year.

The postcards are available on the Send App for Android and iOS devices. Users can save or share them on social platforms, the company said.

Each digital postcard includes a summary of the total amount sent in 2025, described as a “Worth of Love” metric, alongside personalised badges reflecting users’ sending patterns. These badges are intended to categorise different remittance habits and levels of support.

The campaign also acknowledges the role of Africans in the diaspora, particularly those based in the United Kingdom, United States and Europe, where most of the app’s inbound remittances originate. Flutterwave said the initiative is meant to recognise their continued contribution to families and communities across the continent.
