Funmi Awelewa Opens Up About Emotional Struggles and Betrayal
Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funmi Awelewa has shared an emotional message about the personal battles she has been facing, revealing that she feels overwhelmed by repeated experiences of betrayal and disappointment.
The actress made the disclosure in a post on her social media page, where she spoke candidly about her emotional state and the challenges she has endured over the years.
Awelewa expressed frustration over what she described as a recurring pattern of being hurt by people she trusted, admitting that she feels exhausted by the experience.
“I’m tired!! For the first time!! I’m tired of Agbaromoni ta koni. Oga tomu aparo’moni tako ni lowo. Every time, every year! It took me years to heal from betrayal and childhood trauma. Orijafunmi is a name, but at this point, make Allah fight this battle, abeg,” she wrote.
The actress also reflected on painful experiences from her childhood, suggesting that some of the challenges she faces today remind her of past struggles.
“For the first time in my life, I’m Tired! Looking back on what I experienced while growing up, the same issues. Today I break down feeling lonely and sad!!!!!!. I’m tired of meeting the wrong people,” she added.
Awelewa further lamented her inability to find genuine connections with others, expressing disappointment over repeatedly placing trust in people who ultimately let her down.
“I’m not lucky in seeing myself in people. OLORUN JAFUNMI cuz Ogo yi mu iro pipa moni dani,” she stated.
