Help Save 9-Week-Old Baby Gwyneth’s Life After Doctors Discover Hole in Her Heart
Born with a congenital heart defect, a 9-week-old baby, Gwyneth is currently struggling to stay alive and her parents have called on well-meaning Nigerians to offer a helping hand to raise the $16,000 needed for surgery.
She remains in dire need of Heart Surgery for an Atrioventricular Septal Defect Repair. She is currently admitted at Massey Children Hospital, Lagos Island, Nigeria and the surgery will take place at Tristate Healthcare System Ltd, Lekki Phase1, Lagos, Nigeria if the fund can be raised to make it happen.
The total cost in Naira is N6,575,000. ($16,000). At the time of writing this, a total of $735 out of the $16,000 needed has been raised on the GoFundMe account set up for her and managed by Allan Akinradewo.
The last few weeks have been tough on the family emotionally and financially. They have spent all their savings on medical expenses and are now faced with the possibility of losing the daughter they have desired for a long time.
According to the details on the GoFundMe account, “Her big brothers do not understand why their baby sister is not home with them and are constantly asking when she will be back home.
“Baby Gwyneth has loving parents. I pray she grows to know that. Please donate to save her life,” the description read as the family continue to cry out for help.
