I am Looking for Wife in Nigeria – American Rapper Busta Rhymes
American hip-hop star Busta Rhymes has said he is considering making Nigeria his home and hopes to find a Nigerian wife in the future.
The rapper, whose real name is Trevor Smith Jr, shared the plans while addressing fans during his performance at the Detty December Fest in Lagos over the weekend. Speaking mid-set, the 53-year-old described his visit to Nigeria as meaningful and long overdue, noting that it took him about 15 years to finally make the trip.
Busta Rhymes told the crowd he is thinking about settling in the country after retiring from music. He said he is exploring the idea of buying property and building a family in Nigeria when his career winds down.
“This trip is special for me,” he said, adding that he is looking for a home and considering finding a wife so he can eventually settle in the country.
The veteran rapper, who is known for hits spanning more than three decades, has never been married. He is, however, a father to six children with four different women.
His comments were met with cheers from fans at the Lagos festival, which is part of Nigeria’s annual end-of-year entertainment season that attracts major international artists.
