I Make $1m From Every Song I Record – Meek Mill

American rapper Meek Mill has emphatically declared that he continues to thrive in the music industry, dispelling notions of rap’s demise. In a recent Instagram post, Meek Mill revealed that he rakes in a staggering $1 million for every song he records, showcasing his financial success in the rap game.

“I’m getting a million a song… so that’s $62,500 every bar I speak… They say this rap sh*t dying must be on Billboard because it’s not to Meek!,” the rapper confidently stated on his Instagram page.

Meek Mill’s assertion counters the narrative that rap is facing a decline, a sentiment echoed recently by Nigerian singer Wizkid, who claimed in an interview that “hip-hop is dead.” Wizkid’s statement stirred controversy, drawing responses from both local and international hip-hop figures. Notably, South African rapper Nasty C, M.I, Zoro Swagbag, Oladips, and others publicly criticized Wizkid for his provocative declaration.

Meek Mill’s revelation about his substantial earnings per song serves as a testament to the genre’s continued profitability for certain artists. The rapper’s financial success challenges the prevailing narrative and underscores the diverse experiences within the rap industry.
