I Thought I’d Be Single Forever – Lady Gaga

American pop star Lady Gaga has opened up about her previous fears of being single forever, admitting that her fame made her believe she would always be alone. The 38-year-old singer, who recently announced her engagement to her long-time boyfriend Michael Polansky, expressed her relief at no longer facing life by herself.

In an interview with Vogue, Gaga shared her candid thoughts: “I kind of thought I was going to have to do this all by myself—forever. And that was really scary. Because it’s a big life. And I don’t think anyone really knows what it feels like unless you’re in it. And I don’t have to do this alone anymore.”

The award-winning singer described her fiancé as a “totally supportive, loving human being” who sought to know her beyond her superstar persona. She emphasized how their relationship helped her reconnect with her personal life after being consumed by her career for years.

“I’d been so focused on my career since I was a teenager. And the gift of that time was that I got to completely focus on my relationship. I met this totally supportive, loving human being who wanted to get to know me—outside of Lady Gaga,” she said.

Lady Gaga also revealed a personal touch to their romance, mentioning that it was her mother who introduced her to Polansky.
