Indomie Heroes Awards Extends Age Limit, Opens Entry Submissions Until June
Organisers of the annual Indomie Heroes Awards have announced key updates to this year’s edition, including an extension of the age limit and additional time for Nigerians to submit nominations.
The organisers revealed that the maximum age for eligible participants has been increased from 15 to 16 years. The adjustment is expected to allow more young Nigerians to qualify for the recognition programme, which celebrates acts of courage, kindness, and innovation among children across the country.
In addition to the revised age limit, the organisers have also extended the submission deadline for entries until June, giving individuals, schools, and communities more time to identify and nominate deserving young heroes.
The awards recognise children who demonstrate exceptional bravery and leadership through acts of social courage, physical bravery, or intellectual heroism. Over the years, the initiative has highlighted inspiring stories of young Nigerians whose actions have positively impacted their communities.
Following a recent press conference announcing the updates, the nationwide search for nominees has officially opened. Children aged between 0 and 16 years are now eligible to be nominated for the awards.
Organisers say the programme aims to spotlight children who take initiative in solving problems, stand up for what is right in challenging situations, or show remarkable courage in difficult circumstances.
Nominations can be submitted through the official website, where individuals can share stories of outstanding children making a difference in their schools, neighbourhoods, or communities.
