Jennifer Lopez Faces $300,000 Lawsuit Over Unauthorized Use of Red Carpet Photos

Jennifer Lopez is facing a $300,000 lawsuit after allegedly sharing professional photographs of herself on social media without proper authorization.

The singer and actress is being sued for copyright infringement by photographer Edwin Blanco and his agency, Backgrid, who claim Lopez posted two images taken during the 2025 Golden Globe Awards without securing the necessary rights.

According to court filings, Blanco is seeking $150,000 in damages for each photo. The suit further alleges that Lopez used the images to promote her brand by tagging the designers of her clothing and jewelry, thereby turning the posts into commercial endorsements.

The disputed images reportedly appeared on Lopez’s social media accounts under the caption, “GG Weekend Glamour.”

This isn’t the first time the global superstar has run into legal trouble over image rights. She was previously sued in 2019 and 2020 for posting professional photos without permission.

Representatives for Lopez have not publicly responded to the recent lawsuit.
