Kid Cudi Announces Memoir, Promises Inspirational Journey and Reflections

Kid Cudi, the Man On the Moon rapper, is set to share the profound moments and reflections of his journey to stardom in an upcoming memoir titled “CUDI By Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi.” Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, December 15, the artist expressed his hope to release the memoir around September next year.

In his announcement, Cudi emphasized the peace he feels in revisiting aspects of his life and the diverse experiences that have shaped him. The memoir aims to delve into moments, relationships, the aging process, the highs, the lows, the joy, the madness, and the darkness, portraying his life as a beautiful ride. Cudi believes the book will serve as an inspiration for readers to embrace life fully, pursue their dreams with determination, and keep faith close.

He shared, “My hope is that after u read this, you’ll have the confidence to bet on yourself, and strive to live life as a better human on this planet and spread love.”

This revelation follows Cudi’s recent announcement of his involvement in the animated monster movie “Slime,” where he will star in and produce the film. The movie, set in a dystopian future, tells the story of Muna, a young woman facing adversity, who, after participating in a medical trial, gains uncontrollable powers due to an injected creature’s slime. Kid Cudi’s character, Glenn, a lab worker from the mega-corporation responsible for the experiments, becomes Muna’s unlikely ally as they embark on a journey to find a cure.

Expressing his excitement, Cudi stated, “I’m always looking for what’s new and always trying to elevate what we know about music, film, TV, and animation.” The animated film, co-produced by Cudi’s Mad Solar production company, aims to push creative boundaries and explore unique perspectives on issues affecting Americans, particularly the black diaspora.

Kid Cudi previously showcased his animation skills in 2022 with the animated Netflix special “Entergalactic,” a collaboration with Kenya Barris, earning him an Emmy nomination.
