Kizz Daniel Drops New EP Uncle K: Lemon Chase, Blending Emotion, Star Power, and Storytelling

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Kizz Daniel has unveiled his latest EP, Uncle K: Lemon Chase, a seven-track offering that serves as both a standalone artistic statement and a prelude to his forthcoming full-length album, Uncle K.

Far from just a collection of danceable tracks, the EP is a deeply reflective body of work. Kizz Daniel explores themes of love, heartbreak, hope, and self-discovery, weaving together personal experiences that resonate with listeners navigating life’s highs and lows. From the celebratory opener “Black Girl Magic” to the soul-stirring closer “Police,” the project offers a compelling emotional journey.

“Police” is a standout collaboration featuring Mavin Records’ Johnny Drille and legendary Beninese singer Angelique Kidjo, a five-time Grammy winner. The track adds a powerful and soulful close to an EP that balances vulnerability with vibrance.

Kizz Daniel taps a diverse lineup of collaborators across Lemon Chase, including Bella Shmurda, Odumodu Blvck, Zlatan, and Fola – who previously featured on the fan-favourite “Lost.” Their individual styles add colour and depth to the project, amplifying the EP’s dynamic range.

The production team includes some of the biggest names behind Kizz Daniel’s past hits – Reward Beatz, Blaise Beatz, Magic Sticks, Bando, and Ayzed. Tracks like “Eyo” and “Black Girl Magic” are co-produced by Reward Beatz, Bando, and Blaise Beatz. “Secure” and “Peace I Chose” are helmed by Blaise Beatz, while Magic Sticks leads on “Titi” with co-production support. “Al Jannah” bears Ayzed’s signature sound.

Reflecting on the project, Kizz Daniel said, “When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade out of it. I wanted this project to feel like real life: sweet, sour, confusing, beautiful… This is music for your heart, for when you’re healing, or hoping, or remembering.”

With Uncle K: Lemon Chase, Kizz Daniel continues his evolution from chart-topping artist to masterful storyteller, offering his audience music that doesn’t just entertain – it connects. The EP reaffirms his place at the forefront of Afrobeats and sets the stage for what promises to be an even more impactful album release.
