Burna Boy Sets New Record as Nigerian Artist with Most Billboard Hot 100 Entries

Nigerian superstar Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has set a new milestone by becoming the Nigerian artist with the most charting songs in the history of the US Billboard Hot 100.

Burna Boy secured this record with the debut of We Pray, a collaboration with Coldplay, Little Simz, Elyanna, and TiniStoessel. The track entered the Billboard Hot 100 this week at No. 87, bringing Burna Boy’s total entries on the chart to six.

This achievement pushes Burna Boy ahead of his fellow Nigerian artist, Tems, who previously held the record with five entries on the prestigious chart. Other notable Nigerian artists include Wizkid, with four entries, while Rema, CKay, Fireboy DML, Davido, and Lojay each have one entry.

Burna Boy is now just one entry away from surpassing South African band Seether, who currently holds the record for the most Billboard Hot 100 entries by an African artist.

Burna Boy’s growing influence in the international music scene continues to elevate the presence of African artists on global platforms.
