Method Man Faces Allegations of Physical Assault by Model Jayden Steele in the ’90s
Renowned rapper and actor Method Man is under scrutiny as model Jayden Steele recently shared a disturbing account of an alleged physical altercation between them in the 1990s. Steele took to TikTok on Monday (December 18) to disclose the incident and shed light on why she didn’t pursue justice at the time.
In her TikTok video, Steele, who has been a model for over 12 years, described an encounter with a “very large rapper in the ’90s who’s actually now an actor.” She detailed being attacked and defending herself, resulting in law enforcement being called to the scene.
“10 squad cars were called to the hotel ’cause we tore that bitch up,” Steele recounted. “I had five officers come up to my room and take a statement. Not one police report was written about the incident.”
Steele explained that, at the time, she worked for attorneys in New York, and due to her attorneys representing the head of the record label the rapper was associated with, she was advised to “pick her battles.”
While Steele did not initially disclose the rapper’s identity, in response to a direct question from a commenter, she confirmed that it was Method Man.
This allegation surfaces amid a wave of lawsuits and accusations against prominent figures in the hip-hop industry, with Cassie’s lawsuit against Diddy in November being a notable precursor. Cassie accused Diddy of sexual assault, trafficking, and other forms of abuse, leading to a settlement within 24 hours.
