Mr. Eazi Calls Out Bad Bunny For Copyright Infringement On Joeboy’s Song

Nigerian ace singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, and music executive, Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr. Eazi, has called out Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny for copyright violations.

The boss of the EmPawa label (home to acts like Joeboy and many other talented African acts) recently took to Twitter to call out Bad Bunny for ripping off a song by Joeboy titled “Empty My Pocket.”

According to Eazi, the Grammy-winning Latino rapper recorded a new version of Joeboy’s song without proper clearance. He wrote:

Yo @sanbenito you need to tell your lawyers to stop messing around and clear that Joeboy rip-off on your album

In a bid to show that he meant business, Mr. Eazi also took to LinkedIn to further complain about the copyright infringement, calling out Bad Bunny and his cohorts for negligence in following due process.

Mr. Eazi also posted YouTube links to the aforementioned Joeboy song and Bad Bunny’s version, the latter of which infringes on the rights of the original version, to back up his claim.

Bad Bunny and his camp are yet to respond to Mr. Eazi or Empawa over the current issue.
