Nigerian Breweries Unveils “Big Fiesta” to Drive Nationwide Cultural Celebrations
Nigerian Breweries Plc has launched a new cultural platform, Big Fiesta, aimed at powering a fresh wave of music, entertainment and social experiences across Nigeria.
The initiative was officially introduced at a media luncheon held at Lagos Marriott Hotel Ikeja on March 18, where media executives, entertainment figures and industry stakeholders gathered for the unveiling.
Positioned as a major addition to Nigeria’s social calendar, Big Fiesta is designed to bring people together through a coordinated series of events spanning multiple cities. The platform builds on the success of previous large-scale activations, including the company’s “Legendary Christmas” campaign, which energized the country’s festive season last year.

Speaking at the event, Sarah Agha, Marketing Director at Nigerian Breweries, described the initiative as an extension of the company’s long-standing mission to foster connection through shared experiences. She noted that the platform reflects Nigeria’s strong culture of celebration, where moments of togetherness—whether among family, friends or communities—play a central role.
The Big Fiesta calendar will feature a wide range of entertainment and cultural events across the country. Highlights include the Amstel Malta Village experience in Enugu, Onitsha and Aba; a live concert by Young Jonn in Abuja; performances by Flavour in Aba and Phyno in Enugu; as well as a Desperados Road Block Party in Lagos.
Additional experiences lined up under the initiative include Afro Wonderland in Lagos, the Mak Town Festival in Makurdi, Songs & Stories with Cobhams Asuquo in Abuja, and cultural showcases such as Egbaliganza in Abeokuta.
The launch event also featured a panel discussion themed “From Legendary Christmas to Big Fiesta: How Big Celebrations Shape Culture, Creativity & Business.” The session included contributions from notable figures such as M.I Abaga, Uche Pedro, Kiekie and Samuel Onyemelukwe, who explored the growing influence of large-scale cultural events on Nigeria’s creative economy.
The initiative comes as Nigerian Breweries marks 80 years of operations in the country, reinforcing its role in shaping entertainment and social experiences nationwide.
With events scheduled across multiple cities in the coming months, Big Fiesta is expected to transform the period into a nationwide celebration of music, culture and community.
