Nigerian Model Samuel Nwajagu Becomes First African to Win Mister International Pageant
Nigerian model Samuel Nwajagu has made history as the first African to win the prestigious Mister International pageant.
The landmark victory took place during the 16th edition of the competition, held in Bangkok, Thailand, on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Nwajagu’s triumph marks a significant milestone not just for Nigeria but for Africa as a whole on the global stage of male pageantry.
This year’s event saw participation from 47 contestants representing countries across the world, showcasing talent, charisma, and cultural pride.
Nwajagu’s journey to this international feat began in July 2024, when he was crowned Mister International Nigeria, earning him the opportunity to represent his country at the global finale in Thailand.
The competition culminated with Samuel Nwajagu standing alongside Nguyễn Mạnh Lân of Vietnam and Glenn Victor Sutanto of Indonesia as the top three finalists.
Nwajagu’s victory underscores a new era for African representation in global pageantry and cements his place in the annals of Mister International history.
