Unlike previous editions, which often feature smooth leather and suede constructions, the upcoming release showcases a textured, wrinkled exterior. The material takes on a striking look when exposed to light, revealing a reflective surface designed to enhance visibility in low-light environments – a nod to the shoe’s outdoor utility.
The launch follows Nike ACG’s recent announcement of the All Conditions Racing Department, a new initiative combining ACG’s rugged performance focus with running innovations informed by elite athletes. While the new project points toward future-forward designs, Nike is also refreshing its established models with inventive updates such as this reflective Izy.
