Nike Unveils Snakeskin and Pony Hair Field General Ahead of Holiday 2025 Release
Nike is taking a bold step into exotic sneaker design with the upcoming release of the Field General “Snakeskin”, adding a striking twist to the revived ‘80s turf shoe. The silhouette, which has been positioned as a direct rival to adidas’ iconic Samba, continues to fuel the competition between the two brands with adventurous, textured styles.
Official images of the sneaker recently surfaced on Nike’s servers, showcasing a brown and tan snakeskin-inspired pattern as the centerpiece of the design. However, the construction goes beyond just snakeskin visuals – the upper is crafted from faux pony hair, giving the shoe a unique layered texture.
Additional details include black leather accents on the Swoosh, tongue, and backtab, as well as metal eyelets that enhance its premium aesthetic. The look is completed with light brown gum soles featuring turf-style tread, staying true to the Field General’s roots as a performance-driven design.
