Ofego’s “Desperado Remix” Music Video Surpasses Half a Million Views Within Hours
Nigerian singer and songwriter Ofego has scored another major milestone as the official music video for his hit track Desperado Remix crossed over half a million views just hours after its release. The track, a fan-favourite off his 2025 album D Girls Dem Daddy, is currently the second most streamed on the project.
Directed by Chris Ekios, the visually striking video has quickly become a standout on streaming platforms, earning widespread praise from fans for its crisp direction and compelling visuals. The video’s strong early performance further cements Ofego’s growing dominance in the West African music scene.
Ofego, who was recently honoured as West Africa’s Artiste and Songwriter of the Year 2024, is known for his Banku music style and energetic delivery. He has maintained strong momentum since the album’s release, pairing audio success with engaging visuals. Just weeks ago, he dropped the video for Heavy Duty – the album’s fourth most streamed track – also directed by Ekios.
In addition, the video for the album’s title track Girls Dem Daddy, directed by Madumike, continues to attract high numbers a month after its debut. Fans are now eagerly anticipating the release of the Girls Dem Daddy Remix video, which was filmed aboard a private jet and once again helmed by Madumike.
