Offset Responds to Kenneth Petty’s Threats in Viral Video, Calling Him ‘Broke'”

Offset, a member of the hip-hop group Migos, has responded to threats made by Kenneth Petty, Nicki Minaj’s husband, in a viral video that surfaced online.

The undated video features Petty and some unidentified friends in the Theater District of New York City, apparently challenging Offset. They can be heard calling out to Offset, who was staying in a nearby hotel with his wife, Cardi B. Despite the taunts, neither Offset nor Cardi B came out to confront the group.

In the video, one of Petty’s friends yells, “Offset, where you at? We outside, n-gga!” Another friend adds, “Don’t let these n-ggas fool you, we run this city, n-gga!”

Petty himself chimes in, saying, “We gang outside, n-gga! What’s up, n-gga? Big gang money poppin’!”

Offset took to his own social media accounts to respond, laughing off Petty’s video antics as he disembarked from a private jet. He labeled Petty and his friends as “broke” in his response.

“I’m getting off a jet, and he’s funny,” Offset laughed. “F**k these n-ggas talkin’ about? We hoppin’ off jets, n-gga. Talkin’ ’bout ‘outside.’ Extremely broke!”

Petty’s videos prompted various responses from fans and ignited a lively online exchange between the “Bardi Gang” (Cardi B’s fanbase) and the “Barbs” (Nicki Minaj’s fanbase).

Some fans criticized Petty’s actions, with one fan noting, “So Kenneth Petty and his friends went outside on an empty street at 4 am to go live and threaten Offset. This is who y’all queen of rap is married to. A washed broke 45-year-old sexual predator and gang member.”

Others found the situation comical, with one fan writing, “All these n-ggas at least 35 standing on a corner screaming at a phone.”

Amidst the back-and-forth between fans, rumors circulated suggesting that the beef between Petty and Offset might have originated from a direct message that Offset allegedly sent to Minaj’s crew after her VMAs performance. However, as of the current writing, there is no concrete evidence to support this claim.

Notably, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj had a public feud in 2018, but Minaj put an end to it with a positive tweet. Since then, the two rappers have occasionally exchanged words, both reigniting and resolving their differences. Rapper 50 Cent weighed in on the feud, describing it as “interesting” and highlighting the competitive nature of hip-hop culture. He praised both Minaj and Cardi B for their respective successes and contributions to the genre.
