Pharrell Williams Changes NAACP Youth Leaders Lives by Paying Off Their Student Debt
American singer and music producer, Pharrell Williams has surprisingly and generously thrown his financial weight behind five National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) youth leaders by paying off their student debt.
Pharrel surprised the leaders when they attended a panel organised by the organization at the St. Regis hotel in Washington, D.C. where the topic of discussion was, in fact, student debt.
The NAACP’s national director of youth and college, Wisdom Cole described Pharrell’s gesture to the five youth leaders as ‘powerful’ adding that it is a testament and example of what would happen if President Joe Biden would opt to condone student debt for the whole country.
It should be recalled that during the Covid-19 pandemic, President Biden suspended the collection of student debt so people could focus on making a living with the stimulus checks that his administration provided.
