Portable Reveals Past Sexual Interest in Bobrisky, Seeks Forgiveness
Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has revealed that he once had a romantic interest in popular crossdresser, Bobrisky, mistakenly believing he was a woman.
Speaking during an interview with Echo Room, Portable disclosed that he had previously slid into Bobrisky’s direct messages with the intention of pursuing a sexual relationship, unaware of Bobrisky’s gender identity.
“Bobrisky is my friend,” the singer said. “But we had issues because I advised him to stop portraying himself as a woman. His way of life is against the will of God.”
Portable admitted that his initial approach was based on a misunderstanding. “My intention was to toast Bobrisky and have sex with him, not knowing he’s not a woman,” he said. “Bobrisky should forgive me if I offended him, because I’m someone who always lives to speak the truth.”
The singer’s comments come amid ongoing conversations around gender expression and the treatment of LGBTQ+ individuals in Nigeria, where such topics remain highly sensitive and often controversial.
