Rapper JayDaYoungan Fatally Shot in Louisiana
Tragedy struck on Wednesday when Louisiana rapper, JayDaYoungan (born Javorius Scott) was fatally shot in his hometown of Bogalusa in an incident that has been confirmed by the police.
Known for his song “23 Island, JayDaYoungan was killed in a shooting that occurred shortly before 6 p.m.
According to the police, another victim of the shooting, Kenyatta Scott Sr., who was identified as a close family member sustaind injuries but is currently in stable condition.
Officers responded to the reports of a shooting around 5:50 p.m. and found one victim critically injured, and that the second victim had been taken to a hospital.
The department later identified JayDaYoungan as one of the shooting victims and said he died from his injuries.
A request for comment from Atlantic Records, which had represented the rapper, was not immediately returned at the time of writing this.
