Shallipopi Declares Olamide the “King of Nigerian Street Music”

Nigerian artist Crown Uzama, popularly known as Shallipopi, recently hailed rapper Olamide as the “king of Nigerian street music” in an interview with Naija FM. Shallipopi shared that his decision to collaborate with Olamide on his track Order was driven by the rapper’s deep connection with street culture and his enduring popularity among fans.

“Baddo [Olamide] is the father and king of Nigerian street music. So I had to feature him on Order because it is a street song, and Olamide owns the street,” Shallipopi stated.

During the interview, Shallipopi also confirmed his departure from Dapper Music following the conclusion of his contract. Dispelling rumours of conflict, he assured fans that his relationship with the label remains amicable.
