Shocking! Omari Hardwick on Only Earning $150K Per Episode on ‘Power,’ Having to Borrow Money From 50 Cent
In a revelation, which has come as shocking to movie fans all over the world, American actor and lead protagonist in the ‘Power’ movie series, Omari Hardwick, cast as ‘James Ghost’ in the series has sensationally revealed how much money he made as the lead role in the series as well as how his finances got so bad that he found himself borrowing cash from celebrity producer and rapper, 50 Cent twice during his time on the show.
At about the 49th minute of his appearance on The Pivot podcast above, Hardwick made it clear that he didn’t feel all that successful until he landed the Starz series.
When quizzed by co-host Channing Crowder about when he started to feel financially comfortable, he explained he’s not earning what he should.
“I still haven’t made what I should have made. I still never made the money—no, the money, I never made what I should have made. Never,” Harwick said.
“Period. It’s happening now, finally.” He only felt he “made it” after Power, and joked that he earned “five dollars” from all the movies he appeared in before that.
He then opened up about owing 50 Cent some money and how he paid back with interest as he promised he would.
He got his big acting break when he was cast as James “Ghost” St. Patrick on Power in 2014 and has had a few movie and TV credits to his name. Since that time, his career has been on an upward projection.
