Steven Tyler Checks into Rehab After Drug relapse as Aerosmith Cancels Vegas Shows
Coming on the heels of a relapse in his drug addictions, American singer and lead singer of the Boston-based rock band Aerosmith has voluntarily decided to get himself admitted at a rehabilitation centre.
This was revealed ina statement issues by his band who added that the relapse was triggered shortly after the singer went through a recent foot surgery. Below is the statement the band posted on Instagram.
“As many of you know, our beloved brother Steven has worked on his sobriety for many years. After foot surgery to prepare for the stage and the necessity of pain management during the process, he has recently relapsed and voluntarily entered a treatment program to concentrate on his health and recovery.
“We are truly sorry to inform our fans and friends that we must cancel our first set of Las Vegas Residency dates this June and July while he focuses on his well-being”
As expected, Aerosmith has canceled its Las Vegas shows, pending the band’s lead singer’s recovery.
